(Eating Twisties: She's irriTWISTable!)
What I'm Listening to: I Fell In Love With a DJ - Che'Nelle

Wow, these past few days have been quite eventful! (and not to mention stressful!)
I spent the night at Alex and Keshen's house until Wednesday - and Fiona came over to bake invisible cookie, hehe.
We never really got around to making them! Uh-oh...

Our friend, Chua moved to Kuantan to live with her mom and asked a few of her close friends to adopt her puppies.
One of them, Dandelion, was given to Kabhitra and her older brother, Suveen.
But they live in a pretty uptight Islamic area and the dust from renovating their house was harming her so they asked Alex and Keshen to puppy-sit her for a while.

Alex kinda... Grew attached to Dandelion. How can you blame her? SHE'S ADORABLE.
She looks like a fluffy, little snowball with stubby legs. She bites absolutely everything from tissues to hair :)
We all love her so much and Alex's mother let her keep her.
Unfotunately, things aren't... erm... Working out as well as Alex had planned.
Since she's still a puppy, she hasn't been properly trained yet and is making a mess all over the place. She needs constant attention and is annoying Tina (their black, chuahwah "Taco Bell Dog") and Dutchess (their cocker-spaniel)

So right now, she's trying to figure out what to do.
I hope everything works out!

Chillin and Such.

What I'm Listening To: Beautiful Disaster - Kelly Clarkson

The day before yesterday, I cooked and nothing blew up.
Eeeeeeek! Can you believe it? I'm so proud of myself!
So far this year I've exploded glass plates, caught potatoes on fire, storched frying pans...

Hey! It's not my fault, Heathers and Kitchens just dont mix... Hahaha

Yesterday, my friends Alex, Keshen, Shohael, Nathasaha, Suveen, Kabhitra went to McDonald's for lunch.
With FIONA D;

Miraculously she behaved quite well (Probably because I bought her ice cream) and we had a really great time!
Afterwards, Alex, Ivene and I went to buy some top up cards and a new cell phone charger because I found my old one yesterday - It was wrapped around an office chair in the study and snapped. (Noooooo! MY BABY)

Then we headed down to Alex and Keshen's house for drinks and played with her dogs - Tina (a black "Taco bell" chuawa), Dutchess (the cutest cockerspaniel EVER) and a puppy she was PuppySitting named Dandelion which resembles a tiny, white puffball with short, fluffy legs.

We played a down-right hilarious game of Charades, where we laughed til our stomaches hurt and I had to push Keshen over because I thought he was referring to something dirty and pointing at me. GRR. Haha

I have to admit, Fiona's a great charades player -Pigs have straight tails

ROAD TRIP to Kuala Lumpur

"Rioting has broken out in Kuala Lumpur after Malaysia's former Deputy Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim, was convicted of corruption and jailed for six years.

Police fired tear gas and water cannon laced with a yellow eye irritant to disperse protesters." - BBC News I Asia Pacific I Anwar sentence sparks riots

Okay, I know I haven't blogged for a few days - So here's recap.
On Saturday my parents, Fiona and I drove down to KL for a wedding (Adults only... So I ended up taking care for my darling sister)

The trip down to KL started alright until we were at the last Toll before going to the Batu Caves. We were stuck in traffice for about 3 hours and 45 minutes! An ambulance managed to squeeze through lanes and zoom past us so we thought there was a major accident up ahead - GUESS AGAIN.
The major traffic jam was caused by a police roadblock, but when we passed it, all the police officers were talking and the officer who was supposed to check our car wasn't even looking at us and we drove right past it! How worthless is that?

A few cars ran out of gas from being idle for so long, and at least 10 cars pulled over because they're vehicles over-heated.
It was horrible!

The spotcheck was because of the riot held in Kuala Lumpur ( Check out BBC News for more details )

We spent the next day SHOPPING. WOOT WOOT!
♥♥♥♥♥♥

Fiona went absolutely NUTS in the Barbie section haha
(OMG I SEE PINK)

Rotary Errands

What I'm Listening To: There's Nothing - Sean Kingston feat. Paula Deanda

Tomorrow my family and I are driving down to Kuala Lumpur to attend a wedding reception, so we spent most of the day getting all of our housework done. (Joy.)
In the morning I managed to talk to Simon on iChat for a little while... YAY!
It's great talking to my friends. But to be perfectly honest, he's the only person I use Video Chat with except for my family in America. All of my friends here use MSN Messenger :(

In the evening, my dad and I went to Primula Beach Resort to pick up some things that RCKT ( Rotary Club of Kuala Terengganu ) left such as banners, the official meeting belle and the Fine Box.
( http://www.ktrotary.org - This website was made by my dad.. P.s. my dad owns MacClick.com )

The fine game is quite simple, the President of the club (in this case my dad) randomly elects a member of the club to become the Fine Master. The fine master, fines people (well, obviously).

It's actually really funny! I remember the first time I witnessed a fine game, Uncle George fined Dr. Dayal RM1 for wearing a watch. Immediately afterwards he fined my dad for wearing a watch!
Either way, you'll get fined.
The contributions go towards their Fellowship Fund. They hold dinners and partys to build stronger relationships and friendships between the club members.

Our next stop was the Grand Connential hotel where, we struggled to explain the receptionist what we were looking for. I explained it to them in Malay, but for some strange reason - they still didn't get it.
"Haizz...."

After about 15 minutes we managed to get what we were looking for - The Seargant at Arms Poll. It's a 7 foot long poll made of solid wood with a brass Rotary logo at the top, used by the Seargant at Arms during formal events/ceremonies.
Basically, he carries it while following the President around.

Okay last but not least was The Lakeview Restaurant in Tuanku Mizan's Golf & Country Club. The manager was ever-so sweet and speaks English fluently. We gave her the items for her to keep somewhere safe and put up during RCKT's next meeting.

So, that's my day!
Oh and Edric's teammates' two-year-old daughter broke his laptop while he was in the bathroom- she shoved it off the bed.
Ooohh.. Lil' cutie...
Haha
I'm sure it'll be okay - but it just had to happen will i was chatting with him. GRR

Family Dinner

Today started out quite uneventful - my parents went to the our new store/office to work on it and I stayed at home to take care of my darling six year old sister, Fee. (Which means horlicks, nutella and Spongebob Squarepants, haha)

I just came home from a late family dinner held at my 2nd cousin's house, in a very, erm, 'green' village about 15-20 minutes from my house. The road to her house is very narrow and surrounded by the famous Malaysian jungle scenary.

The occasion? My 2nd cousin and her husband will be going to Mecca on Sunday to complete their Hajj.
For those who are not familiar with what the Hajj is..... I wish I could tell you.
Haha!
I'm pretty confused myself, but I 'kind of' understand it - Enough to get the basics that is.
So, I really hope this helps:

"The Hajj (Arabic: حج, transliteration: Ḥaǧǧ) is the pilgrimage to Mecca (Makkah), the largest annual pilgrimage in the world.[1] It is the fifth pillar of Islam, an obligation that must be carried out by every able-bodied Muslim who can afford to do so, at least once in their lifetime. It is the demonstration of the solidarity of the Muslim people, and their submission to God." -Wikipedia

It's kind of complicated. But, as it says, completing the holy ritual is one of the Five Pillars of Islam.

My 2nd cousin held a huge family dinner at her home to celebrate their departure and recieve blessing from her relatives and well wishes for a safe and peaceful journey.
The food was delicious! Ther was Laksa (Rice noodles served with a thin curry-like sauce) and thick (and extemely sticky!) yellow rice with a delicious beef curry (which definately had a bite to it! Hot hot hot...)
For dessert, we had chocolate muffins (Yes, very traditional. But chocolate is a very important food group! ^_^)

My Last Day of School

" Carrom or carroms is a family of tabletop games sharing a similarity in that their mechanics lie somewhere between billiards and table shuffleboard. The game has various other names around the world, including carrum, carum, karam, karom, karum, and "Indian finger billiards".

The majority of sources suggest that the game is of Indian origin while some sources claim the game is of Chinese origin

The aim of the game is to pot one's own nine carrom men before one's opponent pots his/hers. However, before sinking one's final carrom man, the Queen must be pocketed and then "covered" by pocketing one of one's own carrom men on the same or subsequent stroke. Fouls, such as crossing the diagonal lines on the board with any part of one's body, or potting the striker, lead to carrom men being returned to the board. The back shot is allowed, which is called thumb shots or (thumbing) . The player is allowed to play with any finger. " -- Wikipedia

Well for those of you who are unaware of what Carrom is, I have done a little research that will, hopefully, explain the game.
The picture above is a picture of my friend playing it while in class this morning ( No uno! ) before recess.
I'm not very good at it, so I think Ameira took over for me while Bryan challenged me at a game of Mancala - We I won. (YAY)

I've never really been able to beat someone who plays Mancala and knows the rules properly before, so it's a big deal for me.
So either I got lucky or he's not very good, seeing as he's never beat me in the three consistant weeks we've been playing (*swt*) But I think that he lets me win a lot so it's not as much fun.

This morning we had a relay race and I volunteered myself to be a Station Master alongside Chien Chian and Jasmine at the muddiest, dirtiest, most disguisting station ever

The object was to push your opponent over while bunny hopping on one foot with your arms crossed - In the mud.
Chien Chian thought he had a brilliant idea when he decided we should spray the non-winning teams (**Note: I don't refer to people as "Losers") with icy water.
Yeah, well it was all fun and dandy until thick mud started to form all over the place (and we were all barefoot).
I must have seen at least four or five centipedes squirming through the muck and one was even crawling on my foot!
It was way or than I bargained for but it was definately worth it.

After the games were over, the guys starting pelting the left over water balloons at all the girls and spraying them (or should I say us?) down with the hose.
Right when I was so proud of being the only dry (and sane) girl standing, the boys found enormous buckets, which they filled with cold water and guess what? They all ganged up on me.

Hahahaha! I shall have my revenge....

Each time the girls got even close to dry, the boys would come up from behind and pour water down our backs all over again!

And that was my last day of school!
Very fun, very eventful, very slimy and most importantly - Very memorable.

Re-Cap

I know I haven't blogged for a few days, I've been really down.
But here's the re-cap:

On Thursday, the Form 3's had to practice a line dance for our compeition (which was today, but I didn't go to school.)
We also had a professional come in for a Facial Treatment class. It all happened really fast: Bavani and I were just standing in our usual spot and suddenly Madam Lucy took my arm and asked to to be the model for the class - It was really fun!

Only one boy wanted to join in, which was really sad; Even Madam Lucy said she was dissapointed.
Its not feminine to take care of your skin!

What was really feminine was when I got back, an enormous crowd of boys where taking the Flower Arrangement class o.O
Riiiigghhht...
They weren't even real flowers.
But I do have a suspicion that they were interested in flowers to court girls.
" Chick's dig flowers, man. "

We also got to do tie-dying!! (Picture shown above)
I'll post a picture when mine is done. I'm supposed to soak it in sodium silicate, which I haven't done yet.
It was my first time and it turned out alright. ^_^

I didn't go to school today, well, a large part of me didn't want to go in the first place.
Mostly because of the competiton - It's totally lame.
Especially because there's only 4 teams which consist of: 5,5,2,1 members.
We're supposed to have 4 groups of 5, but no one wants to join.
(I'm in the group with only two members - including myself!)

There's only one guy willing enough to join (the same one who went for the facial treatment class) and he's all by himself.
Whether he danced on stage in the School Hall all by himself, I am not sure. But hopefully I will find out tomorrow, and hopefully some other people found it in their hearts to join his group.
He's a really sweet guy!
